I made this very stupid song while I was working on some more serious stuff for my album and some future projects. And then I finished this blog post, and then went right back to playing Animal Crossing. I got pears, yo.

Sometime in April, we did a House Live show and taped it with 3 cameramen and a group of my closest friends from back home in Memphis. Tribe One came up from Atlanta, and we had a grand old time. I edited together a 50 minute live concert, which will be available ONLY TO DONORS during the Donation Drive. June 24 thru July 3.

I’ve had a busy week. I posted my preview of my Third Annual Donation Drive. Coming June 24 through July 3, I’m going to be taking donations, and oh the rewards you’ll see. All donors get a new mixtape album, a live video concert we filmed in my house, and a whole slew of digital comics from people like Oni, MonkeyBrain, Nedroid, Gunshow, M. Kupperman, Sam Humphries, and more!

Monday, I posted up my newest Game of Thrones track “The Rains of Castamere” over at WIRED on their weekly GoT recap. Most notable because this week was the infamous episode that everyone who’s read the books has been waiting for. (link) 

Wednesday, I posted up my newest X-Men track, “X-Women” over at the wonderful Geek Girl Culture site, The Mary Sue, shouting out all the lady mutants in the X-verse and celebrating Brian Wood’s new all-female X-Men #1, which came out last week. Adventure Time has always been one of those things that everyone talks about, everyone loves, and I just didn’t have the time to watch. I’m a professional rap guy with lots of comics and cartoons to digest, and I only have so many hours in the day, and eyeballs in my head (four).

Well, I watched seasons 1 and 2 of AT this weekend. I too fell in love with Marceline, and went on adventures with Finn and Jake, and blushed when the Princess Bubblegum gave Finn a kiss. I, too, am afraid of the ocean. Etc. Etc. It’s great. You should buy it or watch it or whatever. Here’s an easy link.

So I made a rap song for you. Duh. We all knew that was going to happen, right? Finding this beat was a total coincidence, it just happened to have the exact same chord progression as the theme. And yes, that’s me, playing one of my girlfriend’s 4 (FOUR! who the heck needs that many?) ukuleles at the end. I got them mad skills, yo.

Adam WarRock & Vince Vandal “Gravity Falls Rap 2.0″

It’s been almost a year since I released my Gravity Falls rap song. Some backstory, I actually wrote the song while at Connecticon 2012. I basically got the idea, emailed Vince and strongarmed him into making me a quick scratch beat, and then recorded a scratch version of the song in my hotel room during the con with my iphone headphones. I got home, recorded it for real, and it’s now one of the most listened-to things I’ve ever released.

I wrote that song probably when the show was at about 4 episodes? Since then, a whole slew of new episodes have come out, and Gravity Falls continues to be incredible. Since then, I’ve gotten to talk with the whole Internet fan community of the show, including contributing  my own bit of geeky fandom in the form of this podcast, which has since turned into some kind of weird animation/nostalgia show. I also was in LA, and got to visit the studio where they make the show.  I’m as huge a fan of Gravity Falls as could be, and my only complaint is that I wish it was on more often.

I wrote some new lyrics a while ago (around the episode “Fight Fighters”) and recorded them, while Vince had a chance to tweak his scratch beat. So take this song, and let’s celebrate this great show and just party and have a good time.
