I got my hands on this beat, and immediately thought of waiting room music. And from there, it just kinda spiraled into a manifestation of all the frustrations I’ve had lately with life and having to wait for the real stuff to start, while we sit around and deal with all the other nonsense that fills most of our time. I recorded this with a rough throat and partially drunk, and if you really boil it down, the lyrics may not make the MOST sense, but it does in my head, at least mid-alcohol infused haze.
This also continues the tradition of my love of bad singing in my songs. Paula Cole ain’t got nothing on me.
