Beat Used: Rakaa “Delilah”
I’m tired of reading about Dan Cathy. I’m sick of anti-gay groups and people. I’m disgusted by people who think gay marriage is an affront to humanity. Trust me when I say I will never eat at Chick-Fil-A again.
I made this track. Here are the lyrics:
Verse 1:
Ayo if everybody enjoys their freedom of speech
Then let me say it clearly, fuck Chick-Fil-A, preach
Got me, reading ’bout rich millionaires talking
Like they got a direct line to god or something
And I used to be religious, but evangelicals drove me out of the system
Because I just couldn’t be with ‘em
I couldn’t believe that Christians were the only ones in heaven
And I couldn’t try to change the ways of my sisters and brethren
Cuz they were born for it, and yo they fought for it
And they were scorned for it, and people talking like it’s
Just about the definition of marriage, and not discrimination
That it ain’t hate they’re cooking in this nation
But I never thought the hate in, proselytizing patients
Would ever put a stop in, all my dinner options
But I’m giving up the chicken, cuz man I can’t support it,
I refuse to give them any money towards it
hook:
Fuck chicken, got beef, better listen
And the people use their money spreading hate within the system
Dan Cathy, I’m a see you too,
Chick-Fil-A, I’m all done with you
(x2)
verse 2:
And I believe that marriage is between two people in love
And I believe if there’s a God above
That he wouldn’t deny, the same damn beautiful rights
That the rest of us get to enjoy, so tell me what
Do other people’s marriage do to yours,
Like… look back over history, and through the course,
Cuz it’s all like, we used to say the same if your skin color was different
Back then, I couldn’t hope to marry non-Asian women
Even if I was in love, but now I can, but they can’t
Because…. cats like Dan Cathy fund the hate in advance
Proposition 8, neo-cons, pushing their demands
While they stuff the pockets of every congressman,
fuck that, love is love, and if you don’t believe that
Then what’s left in life to fight for, what am I on this mic for
And if chick fil A’s saying they’re anti-gay
Well then your fuckin cole slaw sucked anyway..
interlude:
You say you’re guilty as charged
Stand by what you say
Well I’m down to eat some chicken, just not from Chick Fil A
And you could say I’m pro-gay rights, nah, I’d rather say
I’m pro-human rights, so why’s it be that way
(x2)

Takes a lot of courage to stand up for what you believe in.
Thank you.
